Overview

What it does and where it fits

The superfine vertical roller mill combines crushing, grinding, drying and classifying in one machine. A bed of material is ground between the table and rollers, then carried up by the airflow to a high-efficiency classifier; on-spec fines pass through while coarse particles fall back for regrinding. Fewer machines on the floor, low vibration and even wear make it a dependable choice for steady superfine production.

Structure & principle

The mill is mainly composed of a motor, reducer, grinding roller device, grinding disc device, pressurizing device, multi-head powder separator, machine body and oil station. The main motor drives the grinding disc through the reducer; material falls onto the disc centre and is ground between rollers and disc, then carried up by airflow to the multi-head separator for classifying.

Very low iron content in the finished powder; high whiteness when grinding white materials. Narrow one-pass particle size distribution, with the 2 µm fine fraction adjustable and controllable, and good single-particle shape.

Low noise and less abrasion

Mechanical and electronic limit devices prevent direct contact between roller and disc liner, avoiding destructive impact and severe vibration. Rollers do not touch the disc directly and use high-quality wear-resistant materials, so wear is low and service life long.

Specially designed grinding curve

The roller sleeve and liner grinding curve is purpose-designed for the ultrafine grinding principle. It forms a material layer more easily than ordinary vertical mills and grinds to the target fineness in a single pass, greatly raising grinding efficiency.

Intelligent automatic control

PLC/DCS automatic control of grinding roller pressure gives precise pressure control without manual operation. Grinding aid can be added under automatic computer control, with remote control and simple operation.

Input moisture < 3%. Capacity is shown at three 2 µm cut points (D30 / D45 / D60) and is based on grinding calcite (Mohs ≤ 5); final selection is subject to engineer assessment.

How it works

Material in, finished powder out — the running flow

Feeding & grinding

Material falls onto the centre of the rotating grinding disc; rollers crush bulk feed directly and form a material bed for inter-granular crushing of fine grains.

Airflow lifting

Ground material moves to the disc edge and is carried up by the strong airflow at the wind ring; heavier particles fall back to the disc for regrinding.

Multi-head classifying

The airflow passes through the upper multi-head separator; coarse particles return to the grinding table while qualified fine powder flows on with the airflow.

04

Collection

Qualified fine powder is collected by the system powder collector as the finished product; iron and heavy debris fall to the lower chamber and are scraped to the slag discharge port.
